New Year, *Slightly* New Me

I’m back!

Hello, Hi, Happy New Year! And welcome to the first official installment of - Beats and Bytes- ! I’m your host, Anna Yvette, let’s get started.

Where have I been?

I won’t bore you with the all the details but many of you have been patiently waiting for new music (thank you for still listening, I appreciate you so much), long story short, I took a year off from publicly releasing music so I could focus on getting my health in order after I received a diagnosis of PCOS, Insulin Resistance, and finally, Type II Diabetes. All of which are under control now, but I’ve missed putting out music so much so I am very grateful this long road to recovery has lead me here.

What’s New?

Starting off 2024 strong, check out my “2024 Music Industry Ins and Outs” and I’ve also started teasing my next single “The Way You Dance” that’s out the 25th of January so be sure to pre-save as this helps me tremendously! I have a lot of projects that I am so excited about for 2024 and I am even more excited about sharing the behind the scenes of how all the magic happens.

What I’m Loving:

DRY JANUARY! If you’ve been following my vlogs you already know December was filled with plenty of Holiday Cheer and Christmas Cocktails. After I’ve successfully completed the Christmas Clog, I like to start the new year with a much needed cleanse. 30 days of no booze, limiting my mindless scrolling on social media, eating healthier again, and getting back into my exercise routine. I’m planning on performing live again and a big part of that requires me to build up my vocal and physical stamina so that means singing while running on the treadmill has now become apart of my workout routine. I remember watching a documentary on Beyoncé and she was running while singing to prepare for her shows and that’s how I’ve prepared ever since! It’s also quite a fun challenge, and helps the time go by that much quicker when you’re doing cardio, 10000/10 recommend.

Sneak Peaks

Here is a sneak peak at the mood board and the final artwork for my next single “The Way You Dance” with Production Duo “Who Cares” that will be out on Soave Records on January 25th.

I make the final mood board using Pinterest’s Collage feature after brainstorming images with Who Cares we decided on a Chrome futuristic vibe with a pink, purple, black and orange color palette.

As an independent Artist it’s really important to be able to create a lot of your social media content yourself. Not only does it allow you to be self sufficient and maintain your artistic vision, it saves you a lot of time and money by being able to DIY.

Next week I’ll share how I am updating my press pics and social media profiles to help spark the algorithm and share my “Release Guide” to help my new song reach as many people as possible.
